Terms of Use

Effective 27 October 2026. Last updated 27 October 2026.

The short version

  • blank is in beta and free for now. Features and limits may change.
  • AI answers can be wrong. Check anything important, and don't treat answers as legal, medical or financial advice.
  • Use blank lawfully, and don't try to get around the daily allowance or misuse the models.
  • Your content stays yours. Nothing here takes away your rights as a consumer.

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Tanguy Derrien, an individual based in Milan, Italy, who runs blank ("blank", "we", "us"). By installing or using the blank extension or its server, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't accept them, please don't use blank.

2. The service

blank is an AI assistant that runs in Chrome's side panel. It can read the page you're on when you ask, answer questions using AI models from third-party providers, remember facts you choose to keep, take voice input on your computer, and build small apps that run on your computer.

blank is in beta. It is currently free, and we may add, change, limit or remove features, models or allowances at any time. If we introduce paid plans, their price and terms will be shown to you before you buy, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.

3. Who can use blank

You must be at least 14 years old. If you are under 18, you may use blank only with permission from a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf. If you use blank for an organisation, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it.

4. Your content

"Your content" means what you send to blank (messages, page text, screenshots, images, files, voice turned into text, memory) and the answers and apps you receive. As between you and us, your content belongs to you, to the extent the law allows.

You give us permission to process your content only as needed to run blank: to send it to AI models and return their answers, as described in the Privacy Policy. We don't use your content to train models.

You are responsible for your content. Only send material you have the right to share. Be careful with other people's personal data and with confidential or sensitive information, such as passwords, health records or payment details, which you should not send.

5. AI answers

Answers are generated by AI models and can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong, even when they sound confident. Different models may answer the same question differently. You are responsible for checking answers before relying on them.

blank does not give professional advice. Nothing it produces is legal, medical, financial, tax or other professional advice, and it does not replace a qualified professional. Don't use blank for decisions where a mistake could cause serious harm.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use blank to:

  • break the law or infringe anyone's rights, including privacy and intellectual property;
  • harass, threaten, deceive or harm others, or create content that sexualises minors;
  • create malware, attack systems, or get around security measures;
  • get around the daily allowance, for example by resetting your install ID, automating requests, or using many installs;
  • access our server other than through the blank extension, resell access to it, or use it to build a competing service;
  • interfere with blank or put excessive load on it;
  • break the usage policies of the AI model providers, which also apply to what you send through blank.

We may limit or block access for anyone who breaks these rules.

7. Free allowance

Free use comes with a daily allowance that resets every day at midnight UTC. We set its size and may change it. Once you reach it, blank will tell you, and you can wait for the reset or add your own OpenRouter key in Settings. When you use your own key, your use of OpenRouter is governed by your agreement with OpenRouter, and any charges are between you and them.

8. Apps blank builds

Apps that blank builds for you are generated by AI. They run on your computer in a sandboxed window, keep their data in your browser, and can be saved as a file. Check that an app does what you expect before relying on it, and keep your own copy of anything important you enter into it. Removing the extension deletes apps and their data unless you saved them as files.

9. Third-party services

blank relies on services we don't control, including OpenRouter, TypeSafe AI (Jev), the AI model providers, Vercel, Supabase, Hugging Face and Google Chrome. Their availability and behaviour can change, and they are governed by their own terms. Names and logos of these companies are used only to identify their products and don't imply that they endorse blank.

10. Ownership

blank, including its software, design, name and logo, belongs to us. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the extension for as long as these terms apply. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or reverse engineer it, except where the law allows this regardless of these terms.

If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.

11. No warranty

blank is a free beta and is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or fit for a particular purpose, or that answers will be accurate. This does not affect any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded, including the legal guarantee of conformity under the Italian Consumer Code where it applies.

12. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits, business or opportunity, arising from your use of blank or of AI answers. Our total liability for any claim relating to blank is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 50 euros.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including Article 1229 of the Italian Civil Code and mandatory consumer protection law.

13. Ending use

You can stop using blank at any time by removing the extension, which also deletes the data it keeps on your computer. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if required by law, or if we stop offering blank. If we stop offering blank, we will try to give reasonable notice so you can save your memory and apps.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as blank changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the extension before it takes effect. If you keep using blank afterwards, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, you can stop using blank.

15. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts of that country. Otherwise, the courts of Milan, Italy have jurisdiction.

If a problem comes up, please contact us first. Most things can be solved by email.

If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
